ABOUT
Kota Fukuda is a drummer and composer from Sasebo city, Nagasaki in Japan.
Kota started playing the piano at age ten and the drums at age
26.
As a teenager, he was deeply obsessed with house music. In his
twenties, his interest expanded to include house dance.
In 2014, Kota enrolled in Koyo Conservatory of Music. In 2016, he transferred to Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Performance. At Berklee, he studied drums with Ian Forman, as well as Latin music with Oscar Stagnaro, Bernard Hernandez, and Rebecca Cline.
Kota became increasingly interested in composition while splitting time between Boston and New York, where he was exposed to a wide variety of global music. He has since recorded eight original songs based on his memories.
In 2018, Kota formed Reetroo, instrumental club music duo band inspired by jazz, salsa, house, and hip-hop. He has released four singles with Reetroo thus far, each based on original compositions.

福田貢太
1984年生まれ。長崎県佐世保市出身のドラマー/作曲家
10歳でピアノを始める。10代はハウス音楽、20代はハウスダンスにのめり込む。 26歳 知人を通してジャズバンドに誘われドラムを始める。
2014年 当時勤めていた会社を退社し甲陽音楽学院(ドラム専攻)へ入学。
2016年
アメリカボストンのバークリー音楽大学パフォーマンス科(ドラム専攻)へ入学。ドラムをIan
Froman氏に師事、ラテン音楽をOscar Stagnaro、Bernard
Hernandez、Rebecca Cline氏等から学ぶ。
ニューヨークやボストンでは世界中から集まった様々な音楽に触れ、次第に作曲に興味を持つようになる。在学中に、自身の思い出をモチーフに作曲した15曲をレコーディング。
2019年 活動拠点をボストンから東京へ移す
